EF - I am a truth seeker (not Troof though - LOL!) I like that expression, and Talesin's doG. Please email it to sjgault@gmail.com. I am constantly reading/researching - AMA's releases too. Unlike some, I am not satisfied with half an answer - which is why I could not stand the JWs and their mindset, nor anything that requires I abdicate my rational mind, including religion.
FYI - not on topic. I was a frequent caller on Erv Homer and Bob Grant's shows in Philadelphia and NY between in 1985 and 1988, (Stephen from Blackwood) talking about the Constitution, South Africa, Gun Control and the like. I had on several occassions asked what was known in the media about The New World Order and was ridiculed for asking the question. When Bush Sr. followed the Soviet envoy in 1989 saying before the UN that Iraq was threatening "the emerging New world Order" I wanted to know why no one in the media, including Bob Grant inquired into what they meant. I was boycotted and censored after that. It has now become a household word.
As I said somewhere else, I am a member of the ACLU, have been nominated an honorary member of NOW and the Socialist Democrats of America, have been subscriber to the John Birch Society, a member of the NRA, the Cato Institute (Libertarian), the Heritage Foundation (Republican Conservative) and the Foundation for Individual Rights. I search everywhere!
Having served a year of a 15 month solitary confinement sentence under the South African government, I am acutely aware of the averices of government and what a totalitarian government looks like and smells like. Remember Tuskeegee? Love Canal? -

toughest question anyone can ask, if the love of your life, and mate/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend messed around on you, whether it be once or for years, how would you handle it and what would you do, think about it slowly and carefully.. wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. it's said that 50 % of marriages are affected by an affair, it's probaly alot higher.. did you notice any affairs in your congregation ???.

Everyone's going "Oh oh - there he goes again." Mmmm...
I walked in my JW GF (not DF'ed yet) in bed with her boss, hurt him badly, though I was smaller than him and much lighter, but it was not the size of the dog in the fight, it was the size of the fight in the dog. The reason why I hurt him was that he defied my existence by being in my apartment, with my girlfriend 6pm at night and couldn't care about my feelings!
No sooner had I left her, when I admitted to myself that she only did what I wished to do too - explore, discover and live, free from sexual repression. I had been so indoctrinated by the JWs that I thought the first girl I touched would get pregnant, I would get VD, my dick would fall off, when I bent down to pick it up my eyes would fall out, and if I tried to kick them away, they would stick to my foot.
I told her about my realization, we got back together, because we loved each other and meant a lot to each other and recognized that society had channeled us into life of deceit. Everyone was doing it and everyone was hiding behind the door. Because I understood why she needed to lie and deceive me, I ceased to hurt, forgave (truly forgave, never to be mention it again, unless in affectionate jest, thanking her for forcing me to face facts).
I removed the reason lie, so she had no more reason to, nor I, as we decided to team up and enjoy other people, with honesty and integrity instead. Did that for a couple of years, but she could never shed the JW shackles entirely, and we had to part. 25 years later, we are still very good friends. -

I repeat - how do you know what Jesus meant? How do you know he meant to answer people ... blah blah blah?
